I am committed to providing a safe and respectful environment for all, regardless of age, race, gender identity, health status, national origin, relationship status, sexual orientation, disability, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, and religion.
I believe that everybody deserves food and housing, regardless of their ability to create capital in our society. We are all worthy of belonging to a caring community. Everyone should be able to decide what to do with their own bodies. I also believe that caring about other people (even ones we don’t know!) is a radical, loving act that can change our world. It’s also super cool, you should definitely give it a try if you haven’t already. ;)
I believe that white supremacy is unfortunately alive and well and that we need to work together to create a safer, more equitable place for all. Our zeitgeist is steeped in white supremacy to the point that it seems like it’s normal and part of the deal. If you’re a white person, chances are you didn’t grow up noticing it (I didn’t!). Once you see it, you can't unsee: it's everywhere. I'm devoted to the end of white supremacy. Part of this means divesting from the privileges whiteness brings, in monetary and social ways. I'm involved in an organization called the Community Ready Corps Allies & Accomplices that really helps me with this practice. If you'd like more info about how to start your own anti-racist or divestment journey, I'd love to talk about it. Anti-racism work is lifelong and so important to reclaiming our own humanity and helping to correct historical wrongdoings.
I implore you to please be a kind human, we don’t know what anyone else is truly experiencing. I thank you for reading this far. Honesty, respect, and gratitude are the keys to great relationships and therefore we have an interest in treating each other with these values at all times. What truly binds us as a community is our drive to do great work with great people and to develop a relationship of mutual respect and trust.
With that said: I expect my clients, prospective clients, employees, contract employees, friends, partners, lovers, enemies, exes, people I don’t know yet, and readers of this website to do their very best and at a minimum, to be open to learning new information. It’s hard to be a person. If I try my best and you try your best, we’re off to a great start in making the world a better place for us all. Let’s do it. <3
