Can you come to me? I live in [city].

Our waitlist is now open for clients who are interested in booking a regular once- or twice-a-month schedule in Dublin, Pleasanton, and Livermore.

At this time we cannot accommodate any other locations, but please let us know if you need a referral to someone great in your area or if you would like to meet us in our service area!

Are you accepting new clients?

Our interest list is now open for clients who are interested in booking on a regular schedule of once- or twice-a-month in the Pleasanton and Livermore areas.

Why do you require a monthly schedule?

Dogs and cats are habitual animals and a monthly maintenance schedule will greatly contribute to reduced grooming-related stress. A monthly schedule is not only great for keeping your pet smelling great and feeling their best: pet health issues have been caught early by groomers.

If you do not want to commit to a regular monthly grooming schedule, we charge an hourly rate of $175 and do not ensure a completed groom.

What is your cancellation or reschedule policy?

We understand that life is busy and that unexpected things happen! As we strive to respect your time please do the same for us: please notify us as soon as possible once you know that a date won’t work for you.

Once your pet has an appointment, we are reserving space and time in our schedule exclusively for them. No-shows or same-day cancellations are billed for the full appointment (100%) cost.

Clients with multiple last-minute cancellations will no longer be eligible to pre-book multiple appointments for the year and will not have access to priority spots during the holiday season.

How long does a spa date take?

The first spa day tends to run longer than a usual appointment. This is mainly so that we will be able to get to know our new friend; it's important to make a good impression on the first date! We will address their grooming needs while introducing them to our grooming process. You can expect a regular appointment for most pets to last anywhere from 1-2 hours.

How can I book an appointment?

Fill out our new client inquiry here! We will get back to you within a week to let you know if we can service you and your pet(s).

How far out are you booked?

The majority of our clientele are on a recurring schedule, so we’re usually unable to squeeze in new pets on an infrequent schedule unless planned in advance. Established clients not on a monthly schedule can usually be accommodated within one to three weeks.

Do I have to be home during my pet's spa dates?

One of the great benefits of mobile grooming is that you do not have to be present during your pet's appointment.

We do ask that you be home for your pet's first spa date with us. Feel free to ask any questions you may have and we will explain our process and you can introduce us to your furry family member. It’s important to us to meet any special needs and preferences that you may have.

After the first appointment you may provide us access to your home (using a door/garage code or a key).  Your pet will be freshly groomed when you arrive home.  If latchkey services are requested, the owner agrees to provide a safe and easy place for us to access your pet (a kennel/crate, pen or a closed room).

Do you schedule same-day appointments for new clients?

No.

Why don’t I get an exact appointment time?

As a mobile service our schedule is subject to interruptions including but not limited to: refueling, inclement weather, mechanical difficulties or spending extra time with someone’s pet.  We will never compromise the safety of a pet by rushing to meet a schedule.
Please allow a 90-minute space of time for us to get to your home or office. You will be contacted and advised with an updated arrival time when our schedule changes beyond our control.

Will you remind me about my appointment?

Of course! Our automated scheduling system (a different phone number than our direct line) always sends you a reminder text three days before your pet’s appointment is scheduled.

What happens after I fill out the interest form?

Our team will review your application to see if you’re a good fit! We are currently accepting new clients who book on a once- or twice-a-month schedule. We’ll contact you via your preferred method, hank you for your patience!

About the Services

Why should I try mobile grooming?

Eliminating the back-and-forth trips to and from the groomer’s is usually enough of a reason for our human clients to enjoy our mobile spa, but don’t forget that your pets benefit too! It can be stressful to be left by their person at a salon with other pets and people they do not know.  Because they are surrounded by their "home base" they will be much more relaxed than in a traditional salon. Less noise and interruptions also create less anxiety- for both the pet and the stylist! ;) Stationary salons usually groom your pet in stages, like an assembly line. Because we work with your pet one-on-one, our spa services usually take a fraction of the time than that of a traditional salon. Less stress and saved time: win-win!

If that wasn’t enough: your pet will also have their own stylist and will not be bounced around between groomers: we think developing relationships between our stylist and furry client is important!
Having a mobile groomer come to your home is definitely pricier than taking your dog to a traditional brick-and-mortar salon.  We understand that our luxury mobile service may not fit into everyone’s budget.

Can I stay with my pet while they are being groomed?

You’re welcome to come and check out the mobile spa but once the grooming process begins, we ask that all parents avoid being in a place where their pet can see them. This is for your pet's safety, as many can get anxious or will make sudden movements when they see a loved one.
It’s important for your pet to develop a trusting relationship with their stylist. Please keep in mind that this is difficult to do if their favorite person (you!) is nearby.

Do you groom [pet breed]?

Yes! Peppa’s is a breed-inclusive pet spa and we believe that canines and felines of all kinds are deserving of care and pampering!

Do you need water or electricity from my house?

Our mobile salon is completely self-contained. Powered by a generator and inverter system, we also have tanks for both fresh and gray water. We may ask to use water or plug into an outlet at your location to avoid a delayed schedule; we appreciate your understanding.

What if my pet doesn’t like the blow dryer?

Not only do we have multiple-speed blow dryers to vary the amount and temperature of air blowing on your pet, we use small fabric devices called “happy hoodies” that greatly reduce the noise and stress of being blow-dried for pets. If they are still sensitive then your pet may not be fully dried- we will not force anything on your pet.

How can I pay you? Do you accept tips?

We accept cash, check, and all major credit cards. Gratuities are gratefully accepted, thank you.

About the Stylist

Is your pet stylist licensed to groom?

Although there still aren’t mandated licensing standards, Katie is a certified Fear Free professional, a member of the California Professional Pet Groomers Association (CPPGA), and the International Society for Canine Cosmetologists (ISCC). She is certified in PetSaver CPR & First Aid (Pet Tech), and has earned both an AKC S.A.F.E. Grooming Certification and a Barkleigh Meow Wow Feline Safety Grooming Certificate.

How long has your pet stylist been grooming?

Katie has been grooming for fourteen years and is committed to continuing education and compassionate care.

About the Salon

Does it get too [warm/cold] in the salon?

Companion animals are sensitive to humidity and extreme temperatures so our van has an excellent heating and air system. To make sure the environment stays at safe and comfortable temperatures Peppa’s opted for an extra ventilation fan in the salon.
If our system cannot handle extreme heat or cold that occurs please rest easy knowing that we will reschedule. Your pet’s safety and comfort is our top priority.

Is your water heated?

Yes of course! We don’t like being in cold water and usually companion animals don’t either.
Our mobile van is equipped with a propane heating system for all bath water. If our propane tank empties out during a workday, please rest easy knowing that we will make sure your pet has warm water for their bath.
We’ll either return same-day after refilling the propane or reschedule to an available time on a different day, prioritizing your convenience. Your pet’s safety and comfort is our top priority.

Do you reuse towels or grooming accessories between clients?

Absolutely not!
To best serve our clients and reduce the chance of preventable communicable disease, we always use fresh supplies with every client.

Do you need water or electricity from my house?

Our mobile salon is completely self-contained. Powered by a generator and inverter system, we also have tanks for both fresh and gray water.
We may ask to use water or plug into an outlet at your location to avoid a delayed schedule, but this is very rare. Some days equipment will malfunction or we have a schedule full of pets that require more water; we appreciate your understanding.

Can I see inside?

Sure! If you have a cough or feel ill, please wear a mask when you come to tour the van.
We would love to give you a glimpse into where Peppa’s spa days occur before we start grooming your pet. :)
